Getting the Party Started…

It’s been a week for parties of a different variety. Fits in well with my whole “stuff” rant the other day- wanting to do different things.

 

Tuesday evening I partook in a splendid pyjama-fest party with a couple of work chums. It was a proper Bridget Jones style soiree- all of us decked out in our daggiest pyjamas (okay so maybe it was only mine that were daggy?).

We each ate our own weight worth in food- nachos, fajitas, popcorn, sweets, chocolate and of course washed it down with the mandatory red wine, beer and CHERRY-ADE! (Something which I’ve ONLY just discovered)

 

Of course no pyjama party is complete without a screening of the timeless classic- ‘Beaches’, so we got a little Bette Midler action in there also. We were quite inebriated throughout most of it but managed to tune back in just as Hillary dies…Ahh the memories. Getting somewhat off subject, I used to score sick days off school when I was little by getting up early- watching that death scene- then going into Mum’s bedroom crying with ‘illness’. Hehehe- always worked a charm!

 

Last night I got down and dirty at Pete and Ardon’s Wii party! All the other Producers from work were there and it was a fucking blast. Admittedly my competitive side made a brief appearance whilst playing Mario Kart…I blame the monumental amount of onion bahjees consumed- they had a fiery kick that seemed to influence my temperament… It was a fabulous, fun, fantastic night- and I can’t wait for the third instalment.

 

It’s Friday and the only word that springs to mind is ACE!
