Perfect Weather

Everyone has their own idea about ‘perfect weather’. For some- it’s blazing hot sunshine and the chance to get out in their togs (Aussie slang for swimming costume). Although I hail from the beach bronzed country myself- I’ve never really been into summer. I put this down to the fact that I was a fat child who resembled a sausage wrapped in dental floss whenever I wore swimmers. Some people think ‘less is more’ but in my case growing up- ‘more was always more’.

Today in my opinion…is perfect weather. The skies are brilliantly clear and blue- and the sun is out shining. However…Despite all indicators pointing towards warm weather when you look out the window …it’s actually fricking freezing outside! The kind of freezing where you need to wear knee high socks to keep your legs warm, full winter coat, scarf, gloves, and beanie for good measure. It’s a shame I’m stuck indoors at work and can’t get out to make the most of this glorious day…

Ideally I’d be all wrapped up warm, strolling around Hampstead Heath with a good friend, having good conversation, take-away vanilla skinny latte in hand. Double ideally it would be Lena Heady and we’d be re-enacting such scenes from Imagine Me & You. In fact I might just make that a date for the weekend… Does anyone have her number per chance?
